Rajaji National Park Safari

The Rajaji Wildlife Safari

In 1983, three sanctuaries in the Shivalik –Chilla, Rajaji and Motichur– were merged into a large protected area and were jointly named Rajaji National Park after the famous freedom fighter Lt. Shri Rajagopalachari. Spread over an area of over 800 sq. kms, the park is a magnificent ecosystem nestled in the Shivalik ranges. With the Ganga River flowing through, the park is the beginning of the vast Indo-Gangetic plains.
